Formed in 2017 in Philadelphia by BelaFern and Everrett Thompson, Newborn Ghost emerged with a stark and immersive blend of post-punk, darkwave, and industrial. Their sound—built on brooding synths, hypnotic basslines, and machine-driven rhythms—channels the shadows of their influences while forging their own path forward. Now based in Barcelona, Spain the band is joined by bassist Fluggel Josh.

After receiving critical acclaim for their release “To Make a Flower as Sharp as a Knife”, they returned with the 2024 EP “DEVASTATION/divinity” via SAD GIRL RECORDS. In 2025, they collaborated with Carmilla Sioux on her EP “Lumina Obscura” and released the single “Life of the Party”, a track praised for its cold intensity and emotional weight.

Newborn Ghost has recently shared stages with artists such as Xeno & Oaklander, Plastique Noir and Suzi Sabotage, and is currently at work on their next full-length album, "Corruptible"
